Project:   Although Nike's Sneakerboots are a relatively new concept, many of them are extensions of some of the brand's most celebrated silhouettes. By lifting design cues from the Air Force 1Air Max, and Flyknit lineages, Sneakerboots allow for a familiar yet different feel, perfect for 'heads who need to prepare for winter conditions but don't want to give up their kicks altogether.   In a way, it almost seems like Sneakerboots were designed with NYC in mind. The city's nothing short of a sneaker capital, but it's also subject to some of the worst winter weather in the country. That's why Nike's latest installation at 135 Bowery makes plenty of sense.

Known as Hike Nike NYC, this pop-up not only served as a showroom for some of the brand's most innovative ACG gear, but helped to illustrate the evolution from vintage runners like the Cortez to the futuristic Sneakerboots of today. The space also marked the debut of the rugged ACG Flyknit Lupinek SFB.
